Music Publishing: The Big Three
1. Performance Royalties
These come in when your song is publicly played, whether it’s streaming online, on the radio, featured on TV, performed live, or used in background music services. Each time your music is broadcast or performed, you’re entitled to performance royalties.
2. Mechanical Royalties
Every time someone streams your track on platforms like Spotify or Apple Music, mechanical royalties are generated. These are collected by your music publisher and paid directly to you as the songwriter.
3. Sync Royalties
